Welfare and nursing care
A

Short stay is a service that allows you to enter a facility for a short period of time and receive nursing care and functional training according to a contract. There are two types of short stays that can be used as home service in The Long-term Care Insurance: (1) short-term nursing care (short stay at welfare facilities such as nursing homes) and (2) short-term nursing care (short stay at nursing homes and medical facilities).

Target person

Those who are certified as needing nursing care and are certified as needing support 1-2 or needing nursing care 1-5. There is no income limit.

How to apply for admission

Please apply directly to each facility through the care manager.

Cost sharing

The Long-term Care Insurance will pay the user's burden (10%, 20% or 30% of nursing care costs), food, living and daily living expenses to the facility. If you use the transfer service, you will be required to pay the prescribed amount.

Others

In addition to short stays in The Long-term Care Insurance, Yokohama City offers a short stay program for those who are not certified as requiring long-term care. For more information, please contact Elderly and Disabled Support Division.
