Use of the former Koshiba Oil Storage Facility

The former Koshiba oil storage facility, which was returned in December 2005, is the site of a 53-hectare U.S. military facility located in eastern Kanazawa Ward, and most of it is owned by state-owned land. Before the war, it was built by the former Japanese army as a storage base for ship fuel, and after the war, the U.S. military used it as a storage base for aircraft fuel.
The theme of the use of the former site is "natural experience space embraced by forests and the sea," and aims to create a rich green space where people can experience nature close to you and a space where residents from a wide area can interact with each other. Based on the opinions of citizens and the opinions of the Kanazawa Ward U.S. Army Facility Construction and Return Site Use Countermeasures Council, the entire site was formulated in March 2008. After that, we proceeded with coordination with the Ministry of Finance on state-owned land, and in February 2013, a free loan of state-owned land was decided, and after soliciting public opinions, in July 2014, "(tentative name) Koshiba oil storage facility ruins park Basic plan "has been finalized.

Use of the former Tomioka Warehouse Area

The former Tomioka Warehouse area, which was returned in May 2009, is divided into a seaside landing area and a field storage area, and the entire area is state-owned. Currently, we are studying ways to materialize the use of former sites that contribute to regional issues.

Use of the site of the former Fukaya Communications Station

The Fukaya Communication Station, which was returned in June 2014, has a circular shape with a diameter of about 1 km, and the entire area is national land. In Motoichi, we carried out proposal open call for participants business (idea competition) in 2009 to promote the use of former site of Fukaya communication station. In the future, based on this basic plan for the use of the former site, we will proceed with the development of basic plans for each facility, environmental impact assessment and city planning procedures.

Use of the former site of the Negishi Residential Area

In the Negishi residential area, where the return policy was agreed in October 2004, state-owned land, which accounts for about 60%, and about 40% of privately owned land, are mixed in mosaics. In Motoichi, we shared problem of return, use of former site with private landowners and pushed forward examination of town development. In March 2021, based on opinions and requests received from private landowners and citizens, we formulated the "Negishi Residential Area Ruins Basic Plan", which is the basic policy for the use of the former site.
At present, we are considering early commercialization.

Land use of the former Kami-Seya Communication Facility

The former Kami Seya Communication Facility, which was returned in June 2015, has a total area of about 240ha, and almost the entire area is an urbanization adjustment area. There are about 45% of private land and state-owned land each. In July 2015, the Seya Ward Kami-Seya Communication Facility Return Measures Council was established by Neighborhood Association, chairman of the 12 districts of Seya Ward.
In March 2020, based on the intentions of private landowners and the country, local opinions and requests, etc., we formulated the "Old Kamiseya Communication Facility Land Use Basic Plan" that summarizes the policy of town development and the concept of land use. Did.
