Lecture 1
Lecture 2
In the lecture, Mr. Maruzaki gave a detailed explanation of how he became a UN staff member through an introduction to his background, and also talked about his work at the United Nations Office for Activity Support (DOS).
He also talked about the challenges facing peacekeeping operations and the United Nations Triangle Partnership Program (TPP) as a response, as well as his career and work environment.
During the Q & A session, there were questions about such as "PKO", "Career", "Women's Role", "Workplace Environment", and "What I got during my study abroad era."
Later, a student said, "I found that my experience working at the Japanese government has become a great strength in my work at the United Nations, and I came to think of aiming to become bureaucrats as a career choice." "I have deepened my understanding of the Triangle Partnership." As the number of U.N. peacekeeping missions from developing countries increased, I felt the effectiveness of projects to make good use of them. It was impressive that efforts are being made to match these times. " "I want to deepen my learning in my language and specialty fields, and at the same time seize opportunities and act to be a good experience." I had such an impression.
