State of the lecture

In the lecture, Mr. Tagashira gave an overview of the SDGs, the prospects for issues (agenda) toward 2030 (people, planet, prosperity, peace, cooperation, etc.), HLPF (High Level Political Forum), the implementation status of SDGs indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic, and future prospects for a sustainable society.
During the Q&A session, participants enthusiastic questions in advance, and asked questions such as "Achievement status of SDGs," "Impact and review of COVID-19," and "How to spend time as a student," from the perspective of staff who are actually active at the forefront.
At a later date, students commented, "I realized that poverty is not only due to economic disparities, but also due to climate change, education, etc., and that it would be difficult to solve poverty without clearing the SDGs." "I found that there is a chance to become anyone if they take on challenges," and it was an opportunity for students studying in Yokohama to think about a career image in which they will play an active role internationally in the future.
