City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau and Tokyo Electric Power Grid Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement on the implementation of experimental project in the Study of Introduction of Smart Water Meters Utilizing Power Smart Meter Communication Network!

City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau and Tokyo Electric Power Grid Co., Ltd. (TEPCO PG) have concluded an agreement on the implementation of experimental project in the study of the introduction of smart water supply smart meters using a power smart meter communication network (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement").
This agreement aims to reduce the cost of introducing smart water meters and verify the communication quality by conducting a demonstration experiment in experimental project to share the power smart meter communication network for automatic water meter reading (hereinafter referred to as joint meter reading).
Under this agreement, City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau and TEPCO PG will conduct technical verification of water smart meters through joint meter reading and verification for rationalization of system development, thereby reducing social costs and solving issues facing the water supply and electric power businesses.
