The Ministerial Meeting was held in Tokyo on August 24 and 25 in preparation for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) in (Sun). Takeharu Yamanaka, The Mayor of Yokohama attended a reception hosted by the Foreign Minister on August 24, attended the announcement of the TICAD 9 logo to be held in Yokohama from August 20 to August 22, 2022, and expressed his enthusiasm and welcome as the host city chief to host TICAD 9.
In conjunction with the reception, Yokohama City exhibited a booth to promote exchanges between Yokohama City and African countries and PR of GREEN x EXPO 2027 for ministers and others from African countries.
