On Monday, July 1, 2024, the City of Yokohama and UNDP, which have a wealth of experience in supporting Ukraine's reconstruction, concluded an agreement document for cooperation in supporting Ukraine's reconstruction centered on Odesa City, and jointly announced it. It is the first time in the world that UNDP has signed an agreement with local governments (excluding local governments in Ukraine) for cooperation in supporting Ukraine reconstruction.
The conclusion date is the anniversary of the sister city partnership between Yokohama and Odesa in 1965.
In addition, as the first step in supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine through cooperation between the two parties, we will start supporting the restoration of the 141st Nursery School in Odesa, which was damaged by the blast.
