Yokohama City and Panasonic Corporation will work on measures against heat using mist-type coolers.

Due to the effects of climate change, summer heat is becoming more serious year by year, and measures against heat are becoming even more important to prevent heat stroke. Under such circumstances, Yokohama City and Panasonic Corporation have concluded a cooperation agreement on heat measures in FY2019, and have been promoting initiatives such as installing mist-type cooling machines in the city.
As a second initiative following FY2019, we will install a mist-type cooler on the pedestrian deck at Shin-Yokohama Station to provide coolness in the town.
