May is designated as Bicycle Month according to the Bicycle Utilization Promotion Act.
In conjunction with the Bicycle Month, the Tokyo Metropolitan Area Bicycle Safety Use Countermeasures Council, which consists of nine prefectures (Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chiba, Saitama, and Sagamihara) The period from Monday, May 1 to Wednesday, May 31 is designated as "Kine Prefectural City Simultaneous Bicycle Manner Up Enhancement Month".
In Yokohama City, we will work on enlightenment of rules and manners, including the wearing of bicycle riding helmets, which has become an obligation from April.
