Changes in Yokohama City Landscape Plan and Kannai-District City Landscape Consultation District (September 24, 2021)

In Yokohama City, taking advantage of the enforcement of the Landscape Act in 2005, the "Yokohama City Ordinance on the Creation of Attractive Urban Landscapes" (hereinafter referred to as the "Landscape Ordinance") in 2006, and a landscape plan in 2008. We devised and promoted maintenance of good cityscape by report based on the Landscape Act and the formation of attractive cityscapes through discussions based on the Landscape Ordinance.
Approximately 10 years have passed since the development of the landscape plan, etc., and the situation surrounding the cityscape has changed, such as advances in technology related to outdoor advertising materials and the relocation of the city hall from the Kannai station square area.
We change Yokohama-shi scenery plan and Kannai-District cityscape consultation district to cope with these changes.
The following statutory procedures were implemented as follows:

"Yokohama City Landscape Plan" and "Kannai-District cityscape consultation district" have been changed as follows.

• Landscape planning

Based on the Landscape Act, we will determine policies for the formation of areas and good landscapes, standards for the construction of buildings (landscape formation standards), etc., according to the local landscape formation. When we perform building of building in area, report to Yokohama-shi may be necessary.

• Urban landscape consultation district

Based on the regulations (landscape regulations) about creation of attractive cityscape of Yokohama-shi, we established policy to create area and attractive cityscape, guideline (act guideline) of design about act. In district, based on pre-determined policy and action guidelines, company and Yokohama-shi perform creative discussion and aim at creation of high-quality cityscape.
