- Regulations on storage battery equipment were mainly intended for open-type lead storage batteries, but in recent years, storage battery facilities such as sealed lead storage batteries, nickel-metal hydride storage batteries, and lithium-ion storage batteries have become widespread. In addition, standards such as JIS have come to include fire prevention measures and fire spread prevention measures.

- Charcoal firing equipment, which uses solid fuel, did not have an evaluation method to determine the separation distance.
In response to these, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications conducted a study and a national ministerial ordinance. ※Etc. were revised, and the storage battery equipment was changed to the content according to the type and safety, and for charcoal grillers, the separation distance was determined, so a part of the Yokohama City Fire Prevention Ordinance was also revised. did.
