Q

Q3-3 Can I use certified piles under the Building Standards Law?

Last Updated February 6, 2024

A

Because the Residential Land Development and Specific Embankment Regulation Law (formerly Residential Land Development Regulation Law) (outside site) has a minister's authorization separately from the Building Standards Law (outside site), it is a certified stake according to the old Article 38 of the Building Standards Law. Even so, the documents required for examination cannot be omitted in applying for permission unless they are certified by the Regulation Law for Residential Land Development and Specific Embankment Law. Based on these, in Motoichi, we ask for design consideration so as not to use the aforementioned certified pile as a foundation for retaining walls.
