 In the urbanization adjustment area, development activities and building activities are restricted by the City Planning Act. But, about development activity corresponding to requirements to establish in law and building act, there is thing which is possible in urbanization adjustment area and there is thing which we can receive permission of the mayor and perform.

  • Development activities: Change of land parcel traits performed mainly for the purpose of providing for construction of buildings or construction of specific public works
  • Building act: New construction, extension, renovation, or relocation of buildings

Yokohama City Development Examination Committee Proposal Standard

 With Yokohama-shi development examination committee suggestion standard, there is no risk of promoting neighboring urbanization based on law Article 34-14 and Article 36 Clause 1, Item 3 e of the law enforcement order, and It is standard that we established to refer to Yokohama-shi development examination committee as development activities that are considered difficult to perform in urbanization area or extremely inappropriate.
 Yokohama City Development Examination Committee proposal standard now has the following.
 *For details of each standard, please refer to the "Location Standards" of "Guide to Development Permit by the City Planning Act".

 When building a building in the urbanization adjustment area, restrictions on the form of the building based on the Building Standards Law (building ratio, floor area ratio, road diagonal line, adjacent land diagonal line, shading regulation, road width reduction factor) ). (Revised from April 1, 2004 to January 1, 2011)
For details, please see the restrictions on buildings in areas where no restricted zones are specified.

 When applying for a development permit or building permit in the urbanization adjustment area, please consult in advance.
 If you need to submit a referral to the Development Review Committee, please submit explanatory materials. (Please refer to the Legal Affairs Section of the Housing and Architecture Bureau Legal Department for details of the development review committee.)
