Yokohama City Development Examination Committee

Purpose of establishment

It is established based on the same law to perform deliberation pertaining to permission of development activity or building act in urbanization adjustment area based on rule of Town Planning and Zoning Act, decision on examination request.
The members are composed of seven members appointed from the fields of law, economy, urban planning, architecture, public health or administration, and their term is two years.

Basis for establishment

The City Planning Act
(Development Review Board)
Article 78 A development review committee shall be established in prefectures and designated cities, etc. in order to make a decision on the request for examination prescribed in the first sentence of Article 50, paragraph (1) and other matters that belong to its authority under this Act.
2. The Development Committee shall be organized with five or more members.
(3) Members shall have excellent experience and knowledge in law, economy, city planning, architecture, public health or administration, and shall be able to make fair decisions on public welfare. Appointed by the head of the city.

About organization and administration of Yokohama-shi development examination committee, other than thing to prescribe in the City Planning Act, it depends on place to establish in "Yokohama-shi development examination committee regulations" (outside site).

Consultation and application window

Consultation on construction, residential land, and roads, application for building confirmation, development and housing development permission, etc. are performed by the Building Guidance Department and Residential Land Examination Department. .

Yokohama City Development Examination Committee Proposal Standard

Among the permission standards in the urbanization adjustment area, location regulations are stipulated in each item of Article 34 of the City Planning Act (and Article 36, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Enforcement Order), of which Article 34 of the Act As a standard for No. 14 (and Article 36, Paragraph 1, Item 3 e of the Enforcement Order), the "Yokohama City Development Examination Committee Proposal Standard" has been established.
