Regarding the treatment of industrial waste, Article 11, Paragraph 1 of the Act states that "businesses must dispose of their own industrial waste", and the principle of self-processing by discharging companies is stipulated. I am.
On the other hand, in recent years, the number of companies that have been separated from the viewpoint of efficiency of corporate management has increased, but since the scope of "self-processing" without the permission of the industrial waste disposal business is limited to corporations, "self-processing" that could be performed before may not be possible due to spin off the company.
Therefore, after the spin-off, etc., it is necessary to obtain a license for the industrial waste disposal business or entrust it to a disposal company that has been licensed for the industrial waste disposal business, even though the actual discharge does not change.
For this reason, the law was revised, and from April 2018, multiple businesses (hereinafter referred to as “parent and child companies”) that intend to treat industrial waste as one unit have integrated management If it is certified by the prefectural governor, etc. that it meets the requirements such as conducting business, the parent-child company shall mutually dispose of industrial waste between parent-child companies without obtaining permission from the waste disposal business.
