About holding of electronic manifest operation workshop
In the voluntary waste management business, we will hold an electronic manifest operation workshop for industrial waste discharge companies.
Compared to paper manifests, electronic manifests have advantages such as improving the efficiency of paperwork and ensuring thorough legal compliance.
We are looking forward to the participation of emission companies who are considering the introduction of an electronic manifest, have already introduced it but do not understand how to use it.
Please see the following page for an overview of the briefing session and materials.

About preparation and publication of processing plan and processing plan implementation status report
According to the Waste Management Law, businesses that have set up business establishments that generated more than 1,000 tons of industrial waste in the previous fiscal year (50 tons for specially managed industrial waste) (hereinafter referred to as “statutory large amount dischargers”) are required to create plans for reducing industrial waste and other treatment (hereinafter referred to as “industrial waste treatment plans, etc.”).
Industrial waste treatment plans must be submitted to The Mayor of Yokohama by June 30 every year. It is stipulated that the submitted processing plan and the processing plan implementation status report be published on the Internet.

Mandatory use of electronic manifests
From April 2020, discharge companies that have set up business sites with a production volume of specially controlled industrial waste (excluding PCB waste) of 50 tons or more per year in the previous two years will be required to use special management waste generated from the business sites. When outsourcing the disposal of industrial waste (excluding PCB waste), the use of electronic manifests is now mandatory.
For details, please refer to the pamphlet prepared by the Ministry of the Environment.

Voluntary Waste Management Business
In Yokohama City, in cooperation with Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki City, Yokosuka City, and Sagamihara City, in order to promote voluntary efforts for waste generation control, recycling, reduction and proper disposal performed by businesses, We are promoting the “Independent Waste Management Business”.
In this business, businesses other than statutory large-volume discharge companies will also prepare industrial waste treatment plans, etc., summarize the status of efforts such as waste reduction in the prefecture, and provide information to businesses doing.
In particular, if you have set up a business site where the amount of industrial waste generated in the previous fiscal year was 800 tons or more (40 tons for specially managed industrial waste), please participate in this project by all means. We hope that you will actively promote initiatives to create a recycling-oriented society.
