FY2021 “Notice of Heat Stroke Prevention in Postcard Town”

Last year, the number of emergency transport personnel due to heat stroke was 1,284, exceeding 1,000 for three consecutive years, and the number of days when severe heat wave is increasing every year. In addition, as in the previous fiscal year, the risk of heat stroke has increased due to changes to a "new lifestyle" accompanying measures against COVID-19 infection.
This year, through a co-creation project with Japan Post Co., Ltd., we posted a notice of heat stroke prevention in "Postcard Town" that utilizes postcards close to us and delivered it to citizens. The reason for the co-creation project was a proposal for a theme-based co-creation front (*) "PR Blanding in Fire Bureau and citizens' awareness of disaster prevention," which was decided to be implemented as a public-private partnership. The co-creation business with Japan Post Co., Ltd. started in 2016, and this is the sixth year of initiative.

Overview of Initiatives
Fire Bureau, Japan Post Co., Ltd. and sponsoring companies cooperate, and the sponsoring companies will be co-sponsored by 500 copies, and deliver "Heat Stroke Prevention Postcard Town (*)" to citizens.

A service that delivers postcards issued by Japan Post Co., Ltd. (excluding New Year's postcards and round-trip postcards) to the delivery area designated by the customer without addressing.

Back side, we will provide a design created by Fire Bureau so that citizens can prevent heat stroke.
