What is the Disaster Prevention License Leader?
The city of Yokohama has designated elementary and junior high schools nearby in evacuation shelter as a place for evacuation of affected residents and as a base for rescue and rescue activities by residents.
As a core human resource responsible for the establishment and operation of the evacuation shelter, students who learn about the handling of "life equipment" and "rescue equipment" are certified as leaders of equipment handling (disaster prevention license leaders).

Handling of equipment and materials
This section introduces the handling of equipment and materials in evacuation shelter.
In fiscal 2021, we produced video handling "kerosene-type furnace set" and "generator (gasoline type)" and "underground water tank for disasters" in fiscal 2022.
Please use this in each evacuation shelter training and steering committee.

What is the Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Aoba Liaison Committee?
Organized by the Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Leader who lives in Aoba Ward, the organization was formed with the aim of minimizing damage in the event of a major earthquake, etc., and strengthening cooperation between disaster prevention license leaders and evacuation shelter in the ward.
Major activities include follow-up workshops to improve the technical skills of license leaders and acquire knowledge, as well as providing guidance on disaster prevention equipment to local residents in training at each evacuation shelter.
