Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Business

 In Yokohama, evacuation shelter has designated 459 locations, including elementary and junior high schools, are positioned as places for evacuation of affected residents and as bases for rescue and rescue activities. In this project, we train equipment handling instructors who provide guidance on how to handle equipment through training at evacuation shelter.

About recruitment of materials and equipment handling instructors (21st term students) [NEW]

 In the Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Business, we are training equipment handling instructors who provide guidance on how to handle materials and equipment through training at evacuation shelter, etc., and recruit candidates for equipment handling instructors (21st term students) as follows.

Steps to becoming an equipment handling instructor

 1. Step 1: Students will attend training sessions on equipment and materials handling instructors → Equipment Handling Instructor Candidate
 2. Step 2: Completed a certain course (approximate: 3 to 4 times in evacuation shelter) with the assistance of senior instructors in evacuation shelter. → Equipment and equipment handling instructor

Eligibility for application

  1. Residents of Yokohama City who are 18 years of age or older who have obtained a license for the Yokohama Disaster Prevention License “Leader for Handling Living Equipment” as of the end of March 2024
  2. Being able to participate in both the schedules of the "Equipment and Equipment Handling Instructor Training Course" held on the following schedule

 We will inform you of the recruitment of materials and equipment handling leaders in 2024 on this page as soon as the schedule and location are determined.
 The event is scheduled to be held from October to December.

About "response with weather warning issuance"

 If any of the "heavy rain warning", "storm warning" or "flood warning" has been issued at 7:00 am on the day of the workshop, it will be canceled.
