Outing Library of Mygoto Chuzu @ Minkaen Tsuzuki

Tsuzuki Library boasts one of the largest number of users in the city and is a facility that continues to be loved by residents. Reading activities led by inhabitants of a ward are also active, and reading events and book cafes are also active.
In order to make reading activities more active, the Tsuzuki Ward   Office and Tsuzuki Library launched a business trip library called “Myatochuzu* Outing Library” in October to convey the appeal of books at various locations in the city.

On November 15 (Sun), Myuto Chuzu went out to Tsuzuki Minkaen and planned and held an event to deepen children's international understanding through picture books from countries around the world. With the cooperation of the NPO Sharing Caring Culture in the ward, we introduced picture books from three countries, such as Thailand, India, and China, and read stories in native languages from each country. Participants also participated in games related to picture books, and 17 children had the opportunity to come into contact with other countries through picture books.

It was an impressive event that children picked up picture books from various countries collected from libraries in the city, such as picture books in English, Thai and Chinese, as well as picture books in English, and opened the page slowly. Was. In some cases, foreign parents asked how to use the library, and I was able to deepen international exchange through books. .

The outing library of Miyuto Chuzu is a new business from this fiscal year, and is an initiative to convey the appeal of books to everyone, such as those who cannot usually come to the library and those who are not familiar with reading.

The next outing library will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 on December 5 (Saturday) at JA Yokohama "Hamako" direct sales shop Tsuchikuchugawa store (the nearest station: Municipal Subway Center-Kita Station).
We will go out with a lot of books in collaboration between "agriculture" and "books".
