Visit to Photo Club "Continuing Shayukai"
Interview, photo (including borrowing) ・ sentence = inhabitant of a ward writer Sayasu Nagashima
During the rain, I visited Kitayamada Elementary School Community House (hereinafter referred to as Kita Komi), where the monthly regular meeting of the “Continuing Shayukai” will be held.
We spoke to Mr. Nagasawa, the chairman, and Mr. Funabashi, the secretary: At the Kita Komi Exhibition Hall
History of the launch of the "Continuing Shayukai"
Twenty-six years ago, a photography course was held in Kita Komi, with a nearby photographer Keiji Honjo as a lecturer. After the next year's course, it was said, "Let's do something together," and the "Continuing Shayukai" was born.
According to Mr. Nagasawa, Chairman of the Board, the origin of the slightly unique name of the association.
"It's normal to say 'play', 'shayu', and it's normal to write 'shayu'. However, there is a smart person, and if you have to be playful, you want to have that much room, and you will come to the present."
There are three main activities. Monthly meetings, annual photo sessions, and exhibitions
Mr. Funabashi told me about the photo session.
"Last year, the theme was the port of Yokohama. It was a photo session in a place where you can't usually see, such as a warehouse in the bay or going around the lighthouse and going around the facilities of the bay on a pleasure boat."
"This year, I planned to take a picture of hydrangea in Kamakura during the rainy season, but it was flowed by a heavy rain warning."
We are focusing on the exhibition. Art Forum Azamino Exhibition once a year, a lobby exhibition in Kita Komi in spring and autumn, and a solo exhibition at Sumiregaoka Post Office.
A review meeting was held in front of the works exhibited on the wall at the annual exhibition hall in Kita Komi.
I was present as a reporter at a meeting to decide "one of today"
The center of the monthly meeting is a time for each member to bring a few pieces of work and criticize each member to decide on a "one of today's works."
Review of monthly meetings
The photo of the member's work "Rice planting" was interesting. In order to convey the interaction between members, I would like to write a statement as it is.
"I don't hate it when I turn my camera, I can shoot it with a natural feeling."
"I'd like to hear my voice and get around, I'm fine."
"The angle of view, if you take a little wider, the person wearing this hat on the left, if it is this, it cuts when you put it in your forehead," "If you cut it on the contrary," "No, it's boring if you cut it from this area to this area, how if you cut it like this? "
"That protagonist is a child," "This is the leading role," "The title is" the first rice planting "."
"It's the protagonist, so you can cut it here,"
"This is also a little quicker opportunity."
"The child and father on the right have to aim for the time to plant rice a little later."
"I just have a seedling." "It's difficult, I have to wait."
"I have to think about your convenience and the other party's convenience anymore." "Aim for the moment when the child is planting rice," "Hi, I understand." ...
"First rice planting" Kazuha taken by chance at the temple family hometown village photographer: Mr. Mitoe Toyoda
I wonder if the talk at the fair should be said to be selfish, but there is no cad, so the appearance of sharing what I felt in words seemed to be a fun discussion from the side.
Each person thinks about photography.
Funabashi will continue to take pictures.
"I look at photos of photographers with various personalities, so my perspective increases. Watching good photos and favorite photos increases sensitivity, I think that the level is getting higher year by year. "I'm most happy when you understand what you aimed at."
Mr. Nagasawa emphasized the importance of themes and titles written in the photos on display.
"The title, I have a hard time deciding it. I'm always customizing what the title of this photo is good. When you release the shutter, the title must be floating."
Finally, I asked the members about the good points of this meeting.
One word that came out is "horizontal connection". The atmosphere is somehow transmitted from the next comment.
"I'm sorry to say a lot of tough things. But it won't be a fight. When I joined another club, some people quit after fighting. I don't care much about this meeting alone. There are many people who are relatively easy and can get along with each other. "
