At first it was a "part to try what you can't do by yourself."
In 2022, Mr. Tanaka, the director, participated in a lecture at the Tsuzuki Kumin Activity Center called "Adult Club Activities to Enjoy in the Community". It is a course where people who want to start something in the area gather and interact like a club activity. And from this course, a "part to try what you can't do alone" was born. During my activities, I decided to change my name so that I could easily remember it.
And it became a "Sumikko Club" inspired by friends with personalities like appearing in the anime "Sumikogurashi" (Note 1). Everyone decided to create a loose place where they could do various things and talk freely.
What do you do in a relaxed place? Think about what we did.
In 2023, he hosted a course called "Happiness with a radius of 5 meters."
The course is designed to heal the mind and body and feel a little happiness in a small space with a radius of 5 meters, despite still being regulated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is an experience-based event with aromatherapy, medicinal meals, coffee classes and teachers.
Activities have regular meetings once a month. I sometimes talk on the same day as the event. While sharing what you want to do with members, talk about what you can do now and take action.
I've been doing a lot of activities so far. Kiyoken Factory Tour, Tokyo Bay Cruise Boarding, Tanzawa 3mine Hiking, End-of-Life Course, Mountain Course, Adult Ritomic Course, Yakuzen Soup Course Participation, Chako Village, Okurayama Miel, etc.
"Sumikko Club" is a place where you can create opportunities to realize what you want to do, and I heard that it is a loose place, but it is very active.
You can feel that your world is spreading.
When I interviewed Mr. Tanaka, the director of the department, he expressed a lot of thoughts happily.
I asked Mr. Tanaka what he thought was done because he was here.
It's a hike. I was able to walk more than 20,000 steps in Tanzawa Mitsumine for the first time.
And most of all, we held a lecture. This experience also felt like burnout syndrome, but everyone worked together to overcome the pinch many times without giving up, and gained a sense of accomplishment.
Through various experiences and relationships with people, he was able to get out of his past values, broaden his horizons, and realize what he thought he could not do.
In addition, members with knowledge of end-of-life and rhythmic were able to share their specialty with participants. All the members were interested in making end-of-life ending notes, which led to an opportunity to learn about unknown worlds.
The members are those who can do it alone if they want to do it alone. But sometimes I would like to share my feelings with someone at a moment. Because it looks fun, the "Sumikko Club", where you can gather to try together, is a cozy place.
The "Sumikko Club" has just begun, and we are working to create the future with members.
Many generations of friends are active from moms raising children to seniors in their 70s. We are currently recruiting members.
I want to try something, but where should I go?
If you want to do something fun, please come first.
A leader who is familiar with the mountains will also accompany you to climb safely, let's leave!
A flyer of "happiness with a radius of 5 meters". It is a fulfilling course filled with members' "want to know".
The aroma of roasted coffee beans spreads throughout the room and is comfortable.
(Note 1) “Sumikkogurashi” is a character of San-X Corporation.
