［２］ Goals and policies for community development by district (8) Around Hongodai Station

The current situation, issues, and theme-specific policies described in the previous chapter are divided into seven districts and nine around Hongodai Station, and Ofuna Station, referring to the division of the Union Neighborhood Associations.

• Around Hongodai Station, there are a wide variety of public utilities, welfare and health facilities, shopping streets, etc., including the Sakae Ward Office, Sakae Ward Welfare and Health Center, Kosugaya Community Care Plaza, Sakae Library, Sakae Ward Citizens' Cultural Center Lilith, Sakae public hall, Sakae Sports Center, and Kanagawa Plaza. However, there are many high-rise houses near the station and lack of large-scale commercial facilitiesKonandai.
• In the wardTraffic nodeHowever, the number of buses is small, and it is an issue to improve access from the entire ward due to reorganization of bus routes.
• The improvement of the Katsuracho Tozuka Endo Line, the Yokohama Kamakura Line, and the Kamigo Koda Line is expected to improve the convenience of transportation to Hongodai Station. In particular, the Kamigo Koda Line will directly connect the residential area of Katsuradai and Hongodai Station, so it is expected to be a catalyst for regional revitalization.
• The station square has a spacious space and is used as a place for inhabitants' activities.
• The Itagawa Promenade and the green space on the north side of Hongodai Station are symbols of Sakae Ward, which is rich in greenery and water.
