In Yokohama City, in 2003, we will select and announce districts with disaster prevention issues extracted based on objective conditions, and started the “Ie / Michi / Town Improvement Project” to support disaster prevention community development initiatives in the target districts. did. From April 1, 2014, the “Ie / Michi / Town Improvement Project” has shifted to the “Community Fireproofing Business” and is still working on it.
In Nishi Ward, since 2003, disaster prevention community development councils have been established in two districts, Nishitobecho and Higashikubo-cho. The Neighborhood Associations, Disaster Prevention Community Development Support Organizations and Governments (Urban Development Bureau and Nishi Ward) are working together to realize disaster-prevention community development.
