In Nishitobecho, houses are densely populated, public facilities such as roads and parks are not sufficiently maintained, and have issues related to disaster prevention.
Therefore, in Nishitobecho, the area consisting of Neighborhood Association Hazawa and Nishi-Tobe 2-chome Daiichi Neighborhood Association was established in 2003 to improve the disaster prevention issues in this area. Since 2004, a study session has been held with Yokohama City and disaster prevention community development support groups.
After that, in June 2006, the "Ippommatsu Town Development Council" was established, and questionnaires and workshops for local residents were repeated, and in 2008, the "Ippommatsu Town Development Council Disaster Prevention Town Development Plan" was created. .
Based on this plan, we are continuing our activities with the aim of disaster prevention and community development in reduce disaster damage.
