Health Promotion Section raises awareness of cancer screenings for early detection and treatment of cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death in Japanese. Let's receive health check-up regularly.

From 2024, lung cancer mass screening at the ward office will not be carried out, but will be integrated into individual health check-up conducted at the city's health check-up medical institution. Yokohama City Cancer Screening is conducted for Yokohama citizens who do not have any other chance to consult, such as health check-up at work. Other necessary requirements, such as age for each health check-up.

Those who fall under any of the following are exempt from cancer screening fees.

1. Persons to whom the medical system for elder senior citizens is applied → Please bring your "Large Elderly Medical Care Insured Card".
2. social security households → Please bring your "Request for Medical Treatment on Holidays, Nights, etc."
3. Those who are covered by the Support Benefit Program for Japanese Residents in China. → Please bring your "identity verification card".
4. Those who are 70 years old or older except for the above 1-3 → Please bring a health insurance card or other items that can be used to confirm your age.
5. Households that are exempt from municipal tax and prefectural tax and per capita tax. → Those who apply must apply in advance. In addition, only municipal tax-exempt household or per capita rate determines the taxable household according to the taxation status for the previous fiscal year. Please apply in advance at the Health Promotion Section window and bring the documents issued by the ward office.

Applicable to those aged 40 to 74 who have taken out Yokohama City National Health Insurance. Interviews, abdominal circumference, physical measurements, blood pressure measurement, urinalysis, blood tests, etc.
