From 2024, lung cancer mass screening at the ward office will not be conducted, but will be integrated into individual health check-up, which will be conducted at health check-up medical institutions in the city. Yokohama Cancer Screening is conducted for Yokohama citizens who do not have any other opportunities to consult, such as health check-up at work. In addition, please check the necessary requirements such as age for each health check-up.

Those who fall under any of the following are exempt from cancer screening costs.

1. Persons who are subject to the medical system for elder senior citizens → Please bring your "Large Elderly Medical Care Insured Card".
2. People in the social security Household → Please bring your "Request for medical treatment such as holidays and nighttime".
3. Those who are covered by the support payment system for Japanese nationals remaining in China → Please bring your personal identification card.
4. Persons aged 70 or older excluding 1-3 above → Please bring something that can confirm your age, such as a health insurance card.
5. Households that are exempt from municipal tax and prefectural tax, and those who are taxable only on per capita rate → Applicants are required to apply in advance. In addition, judgment of taxable household only for municipal tax exemption household or per capita rate is judged according to taxation situation for last year. Please apply in advance at the Health Promotion Section window and bring the documents issued by the ward office.

Applicable to those aged 40 to 74 who have taken out Yokohama City National Health Insurance. Interviews, abdominal circumferences, physical measurements, blood pressure measurements, urine tests, blood tests, etc. are performed.
