Person who lives in the city and meets the next age requirements

• If you are currently undergoing treatment, you may not be able to see a doctor, so please consult your doctor.
• If you have symptoms in the health check-up area, please consult a medical institution immediately instead of health check-up.

1. Persons aged 70 or older as of April 1, 2025 (birth date before April 1, 1955)
   Please present a proof of age (such as a health insurance card) at health check-up.
2. Persons who are subject to the medical system for elder senior citizens
   Please present your ID card for the elderly medical care insured at health check-up.
3. People in the social security Household
   Please present your "Holiday / Night Medical Request Certificate" at health check-up.
4. Those who are covered by the support payment system for Japanese nationals remaining in China
   Please present your identification card at health check-up.
5. Person of taxable household only for municipal tax prefectural tax exemption household or per capita rate in 2023 (based on income of all household members during 2022)
   Procedures are required before health check-up. Please contact your ward office, Health and Welfare Division Health Promotion Section.

• Fees cannot be exempted after receiving health check-up
• Since colorectal cancer health check-up in 2024 is free, there is no need to apply for a tax exemption confirmation.

• Number of consultations: Once a year
• Target: 40 years old or older
• Inspection items: Interviews, fecal occult blood tests
• Costs: Free of charge

In fiscal 2024, the co-payment for health check-up (600 yen) will be free of charge.

• Number of consultations: Once every two years
• Target: 50 years old or older
• Inspection items: Interview, endoscopy or interview, chest x-ray examination
• Costs: 2,500 yen

• You cannot have both endoscopy and X-ray examinations in the same year.
• Endoscope and X-ray examination cannot be alternately received in consecutive years.
• Those who wish to have endoscopy
  1. Please be sure to bring your insurance card on the day of your consultation.
  2. A biopsy may be performed to collect mucous membranes in the middle of health check-up.
  3. This biopsy will be covered by insurance and will be charged separately.

• Inspection items: Interview, chest x-ray examination
• Costs: 680 yen

• Number of consultations: Once every two years
• Target: 20 years old or older (female)
• Inspection items: Interviews, neck cytology tests
• Costs: 1,360 yen

The HPV test alone method (30-60 years old) for cervical cancer health check-up will be introduced in January 2025. Until then, please continue to see your current cervical cancer health check-up. Information will be sent to those who are eligible.

• (a)Mammography inspection
  Inspection items: Interviews, mammography tests
  Costs: 680 yen
• (b)Mammography examination + visual examination
  Inspection items: Interview, mammography examination + visual inspection
  Costs: 1,370 yen

• A mammography examination is required.
• Visual examination is optional.
• Please note that you will not be able to have a visual examination after receiving mammography.
• As of the shooting date, mammography takes two directions for those in their 40s and one direction for those over 50 years old.

• Number of consultations: Once a year
• Target: 50 years old or older (male)
• Inspection items: Interviews, blood tests
• Costs: 1,000 yen

• If a doctor determines that it is necessary and performs more detailed examinations as insurance medical treatment, it may be expensive in addition to the above amount. Please check with your medical institution for details.
• If you receive a medical examination without an appropriate consultation interval (such as twice a year), it may not be treated as a Yokohama-shi cancer screening, so it may cost different from the above amount.
• Please make a reservation directly to the medical institution by telephone or other means. (There is no consultation ticket.)
• If the result of health check-up requires a detailed examination, the detailed examination will be covered by insurance and will be charged separately.

Those who have not received a cervical cancer health check-up in Yokohama from April to the end of December 2024
(Those who consulted between April 2024 and the end of December 2024 can consult in 2026.)

If the results of the newly introduced HPV test are negative, the next consultation will be five years later, and the burden of consultation will be reduced compared to the previous two-year tests. If the result is positive, a test to check the condition of the cells will be performed (re-examination at the test is not required). Depending on the test results, it will be re-examined or detailed inspection one year later. ※The cervical cancer health check-up using the HPV test alone method for women aged 30 to 60 will be implemented from January 2025. Until then, continue to have your current cervical cancer health check-up (cytology). Information will be sent to those who are eligible.
However, if you have any worrisome symptoms, consult a medical institution such as a gynecology without waiting for a cancer screening.

For those who have a genetic breast cancer ovarian cancer syndrome (HBOC) in the family, we will subsidize the cost of testing to find out if they have a gene that is likely to cause cancer in the future.

We receive Yokohama-shi cancer screening targeting at 70 years or older from January, 2025 and support examination costs when detailed examination is necessary.
