Study group for building a water supply system suitable for the coming era

Five water utilities in Kanagawa Prefecture (Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kawasaki City, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture Wide Area Water Supply Corporation), which are closely connected, such as jointly developing water sources, announced in 2010. Based on the Business Exploratory Committee Report, we are examining ways to rebuild the water supply system, such as the commonization and widening of water supply facilities and the relocation of water rights.
5 In order to consider the rebuilding of the water supply system from multiple perspectives, including flood control and the environment, the water supply companies will conduct a “Study Group for Construction of a water supply system suitable for the coming era” with water supply and river experts. It was established in November 2019, and a total of four studies have been conducted until December 2020.
