In order to promote the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the water supply business, City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau established a water supply ICT information liaison meeting in cooperation with Water Works Bureau, Tokyo and Water Works Bureau, Osaka.
Activities
Dissemination of issues (needs) of water utilities
- Posted individual and common issues of each water utility on the platform (common homepage).

Recruitment of new technologies owned by private companies
- Recruiting new technologies in the platform
Exchange of opinions between water utilities and private companies
- Presentation of assignments from water utilities
- Presentations using technologies and products from private companies.
- The Information Liaison Committee was established as a place to provide information on new technologies such as ICT, and is not a place to decide on the introduction of technology.
- Each business entity will judge the introduction and adoption of technology.
Effects and targets
Promote the use and diffusion of new technologies such as ICT in water supply business
Water Supply Business
- Economies of scale through joint transmission of large-scale water utilities (excavating potential technologies)
- We collect information on new technologies from a wide range of industries in addition to the water supply industry
Private companies, etc.
- It is easy to grasp the issues faced by participating entities.
- New technologies can be promoted to participating entities at the same time.
