Introduction of initiatives

The 64th Water Week Event

In [Water Week] from 6/1 to 6/7, in order to have citizens deepen their understanding of water supply.
Water Works Bureau holds events and public relations every year.
On June 4, 2022, the 64th Water Week Event was held in Sakuragicho-sta., where students participated in the SDGs Study Group: Comradery, a student volunteer studying the SDGs at Toyo Eiwa University, a partner university.
Similar to last year, a quiz on the theme of "Water and SDGs" was held, and many people came to the event.


The 63rd Water Week Event

On June 5, 2021, an event was held in Sakuragicho-sta. in collaboration with "SDGs Study Group: Comradery," a student volunteer studying the SDGs at Toyo Eiwa University, a partner university.

Under the theme of "access to water where no one is left behind", the results of learning about water supply have been used.
We summarized it from the perspective of university students and introduced it as handwritten display panels and quizzes.
In addition, they were involved in the creation of public relations materials such as PR posters, planning of university booths, production of exhibits, and operation of the day.

Activities to date

The SDGs Study Group: Comradery, a student volunteer at Toyo Eiwa University, has been held since November 2020.
In cooperation with the City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau Kawai Purification Plant and the Kanagawa Prefectural Water Supply Corporation, tours of the Miyagase Dam and other facilities, lectures on water supply projects by Water Works Bureau staff.
I've been learning about water supply business.

Collaboration agreement with Toyo Eiwa University

In Water Works Bureau, universities and bureaus have concluded cooperation agreements with universities with the aim of utilizing each other's technologies and know-how to foster human resources, improve academic research, contribute to the local community and contribute to the development of the entire water supply business.
The partnership agreement with Toyo Eiwa University was concluded in March 2020.
