1.Purpose of Formulation of Cooperation Guidelines

In the Yokohama City Water Supply Business (hereinafter referred to as the “Yokohama Water Supply”), there is an urgent need to respond to issues such as sluggish water fee income, renewal and earthquake resistance of aging facilities, and securing and succession of technology.
On the other hand, in Japan, there are many business entities, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, who are concerned about technical and human resources. Is becoming increasingly serious, and the international expansion of water business in Japan is expected, water utilities with many years of experience in operation and management is particularly required.
Under these circumstances, Yokohama Water Supply, which has a history of more than 120 years since the establishment of the modern water supply, utilizes its technology and know-how as a business leading business in Japan, to improve the water supply situation in Japan and overseas. However, in promoting these initiatives, there is a limit to the fact that one water utility can work alone, so business entities in various fields such as local residents, private companies, universities, NPOs, and public institutions. Mutual cooperation with is essential.
Therefore, with the aim of developing the entire water supply world through mutual cooperation, this time, we will formulate the "Public-Private Partnership Guidelines" and clarify future approach policies and ideas, and work on these issues with all our efforts.

2.Philosophy of cooperation

3.Principles for Promoting Cooperation

(1) Respect for mutually beneficial relationships (win-Win relationship)

In order to reach the common goal of solving water problems in Japan and overseas, we must continue to communicate as equal partners and take advantage of each other's benefits. Therefore, we will respect the mutually beneficial relationship (win-Win relationship) and promote cooperation after considering the balance of mutual benefits.

(2) Acceptance of open proposals and consultations and appropriate protection of original ideas

In order to actively draw proposals and consultations from the cooperating entities, we will actively publish information on the issues and the direction of initiatives in order to actively draw proposals and consultations from the cooperating entities, and set up external proposals on the water supply business, and clarify the window. 4.Cooperation Guidelines

(1) Promotion of joint research

We will promote joint research that leverage the strengths of each entity, solve problems faced by water utilities and create intellectual property, and take a further step toward solving global water problems.

(2) Promotion of human resource development related to water supply business, such as technology succession

(4) Strengthening disaster response capabilities

(5) Response to Environmental Issues

(7) Creating new businesses and enhancing organizational capabilities
