1 Application / Ledger Registration

Please refer to the following "Regular Inspection Application Flow" for a new test application.
If you have already taken the test two years ago, you do not need to contact us. (If there is a change in the name or Address, please let us know.)

2 Prior notice

As the time of the periodic inspection approaches, you will receive a notice (postcard) for the inspection.
・Periodic inspections are carried out in each region. (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)

3. Implementation of inspections

Visits during the inspection visit period (about 2 weeks) described in the guide.

4 Paste of the periodic inspection seal

If you pass the inspection, a regular inspection seal (passing seal) will be affixed to the "scale".
・Please refer to "Inspection Failure" below for information on how to respond to failure.

5 Payment of Fees

Please pay the inspection fee in cash. ⇒Fees for periodic inspections

Points to note
・In principle, it is not possible to specify the date and time.
・If the inspection fails, it cannot be used for trading or certification until repairs are performed.
・Repairs and maintenance are not possible. (If you wish, please contact the dealer or manufacturer.)

≫If you would like to take the test other than the above flow, please consider the substitute inspection. ⇒What is the difference?

・Testee name, person in charge, Address, contact information
・Scale type (electric and mechanical type), capacity (maximum kg that can be weighed), number of units
・Regular holidays, business hours, availability of parking spaces

≫Please prepare the necessary information and contact the weighing laboratory or designated periodic inspection organization.

※Even if you submit the application form, we will call you for confirmation once.

"Scales" that have failed during the periodic inspection cannot be used for trading or certification.
In the case of fail, the certification seal of the target "scale" will be removed, and a "Notification of Failure Measurement Inspection" and "Notification of Failure Measurement Processing Notification" will be issued.
Repair, disposal, or purchase a new one, fill out required items in the “Notification of Fail Measurement” and send it to the organization that performed the inspection.
