The Housing Support Council is a council that can be set up arbitrarily based on Article 10 of the "Law Concerning the Promotion of Supply of Rental Housing to Persons Needing Housing Security (commonly known as the Housing Safety Net Law)".
Those who need to secure housing are low-income earners, survivors, elderly people, disabled people, families raising children, foreigners, leaving elementary school studenｔ nursing homes and other persons who require special consideration in securing housing.
In October 2018, Yokohama City established Yokohama Housing Support (Yokohama City Housing Support Council) with the aim of improving the welfare of Yokohama City and contributing to the rich and livable community development by discussing necessary measures.

We have established a consultation desk to receive consultations from those who are having trouble securing a house, landlords, real estate companies, and welfare support organizations that have been consulted on housing. . On the homepage of Yokohama Housing Support, which was opened in 2020, nine languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Thai, Tagalog, Nepali, Vietnamese, Portuguese) and a page that guides you in easy Japanese.

We repeated study meetings for the operation of the "Yokohama Residence Support Supporter Registration System (a system in which the council registers real estate stores and welfare support groups that provide housing support for those who need housing security as supporters)"・ The guidelines have been established, and the supporters (1) "supporters" who provide housing support close to consultants, and (2) "acceptance supporters" who accept those who need attention) have started operation.
