About temporary use of Municipal Housing for those who have lost their homes due to disasters, etc.
Municipal Housing provides temporary housing for people in need of housing due to disasters and other factors.

1. Overview
(1) Target person
Those who meet all of the following requirements are eligible.
(a) Those who have lost their homes due to a disaster in Yokohama City
(b) Must be within one month after the disaster
(c) The disaster certificate can confirm that the affected house is half-burned or half-broken (the area of the damaged part of the house is more than 20% of the total floor area of the building before the disaster)
(d) resident certificate confirms that you live in Yokohama City
(o) There must be no violation of the regulations and rules
※Those who have lost their homes due to intentional or gross negligence are not eligible.
(2) Provision period
In principle, three months. (However, it can be extended only for 3 months depending on the situation.)
(3) Fees for use
House usage fees are reduced and free of charge. No deposit is required.
However, the following will be borne by the resident.
・Utility costs for electricity, gas, and water
・utility fee
・Parking fee
2. Housing provided
Please contact Housing and Architecture Bureau Municipal Housing Division at 045-671-2923.
In addition, gas stoves, lighting fixtures, curtains (light shielding races), and bathtubs are installed in the house.
Other furniture, home appliances, bedding, etc. are not installed, so please prepare it yourself.
3. Flow of Application Procedures
(1) First, please call the City of Yokohama, Housing and Architecture Bureau Municipal Housing section. (045-671-2923)
Please contact us within one month from the date of the disaster.
We will confirm the system explanation, requirements, etc. If you wish to apply, we will decide on the house.
(2) Please submit the application documents.
Please submit the application form to each designated manager office and complete the procedure.
In addition, please confirm "5. designated manager office" as designated manager office varies according to house.

・A copy of resident certificate of all those who intend to use it temporarily
・Affliction certificate
(3) We examine application contents in Yokohama-shi.
The application you have submitted will be reviewed in Yokohama City, so it will take about one week.
(4) I'll give you the key to the house.
After the screening is completed, Yokohama City will contact you by phone.
The key of the house will be handed over to the designated manager office.
4. Notes
(1) When you move in, please complete the contract procedure for electricity, gas and water yourself.
(2) You cannot move in with pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.).
(3) Please be sure to pay the various usage fees such as utility fee by the deadline.
(4) If at least one of the keys (3) given at the time of moving in, you will be charged for replacing the keys when you move out.
(5) Repair costs may be incurred as necessary, such as when the used house is intentionally damaged.
