Yamate-District Landscape Planning and Urban Landscape Consulting Area

　Yamate-District has established a "landscape plan" based on the Landscape Act (outside site) and a "city landscape consultation district" based on the ordinance on the creation of attractive cityscapes in Yokohama City (hereinafter referred to as the "landscape ordinance").
　When we perform predetermined act in target area, "report of scenery plan" based on scenery law and "city scenery consultation" based on scenery regulations are necessary beforehand.

Requests for procedures for landscape planning and urban landscape consultation districts

When you perform act targeted for report, please report to Yokohama-shi by 31 days before construction start.

The maximum height of the building shall be less than or equal to the value shown in Figure 4-3, but please note that the calculation method of the building height differs for each area.

1. New construction, extension, renovation, relocation of buildings (excluding extensions and renovations without a change in appearance)
2. Repairs, imitation, and color change that will change the appearance of the building
3. New construction, extension, renovation, relocation, relocation of work (* 1) (excluding renovations without changing appearance)
4. Repairs, remodeling, and color change that change the appearance of the workpiece (* 1)
5. Cutting of wood and bamboo with a trunk circumference of 5m or a height of 1.2m above 1.5m

※1 Workpieces subject to notification in the Yamate-District landscape plan

• Please submit a report at least 31 days before the start of construction. (Construction cannot be started unless 30 days have passed since the date of notification.)
• Please submit two copies (primary and vice) "registration form of act in area of scenery plan" and attached book.
• Please submit one copy of "Landscape Plan Checklist".
• If you change the content of the notification before the completion of the construction, please notify the change at least 31 days before the start of the part pertaining to the change.

When you perform act targeted for discussion, please talk with Yokohama-shi at early stage of design (before start).

1. New construction, extension, renovation, relocation of buildings (excluding extensions and renovations without a change in appearance) ※1
2. Repairs, imitation, and color change that will change the appearance of the building
3. New construction, extension, renovation, relocation of structures (iron towers, decorative towers, viewing towers, and the like) fixed on land or buildings (excluding renovations without changing the appearance)
4. Repairs, remodeling, and color change that will change the appearance with a work (same as above) fixed on land or buildings
5. Display of outdoor advertising materials on rooftop signs, wall signboards, sleeves signboards or advertising towers and billboards, or installation of properties that display outdoor advertising materials ※2

After hearing opinion of Yokohama-shi city beauty measures council, we decide discussion policy. ※3

1. New construction, extension, renovation and relocation of buildings with a building area of more than 400 m2 on a site facing major roads (*4) in Yamatecho. ※1
2. New construction, extension, renovation, relocation of buildings with a building area of more than 1000 m2 in the urban landscape consultation area

• ※Excludes those that are temporarily installed for construction site offices or special events, etc., and the mayor recognizes that there is little effect on the landscape.
• ※Excludes those that are temporarily installed for 2 special events and that the mayor recognizes that there is little impact on the landscape.
• ※There is an exclusion rule for single-family homes.
• ※4 Major roads shown in Figure 2 of Urban Landscape Consultation Area

• Please submit a request for consultation at the early stage of design. (Construction cannot be started until after the cityscape consultation.)
• Please submit three copies (for main, vice, reading) of "cityscape discussion proposal book" and attached book.
• If you want to change the content of the consultation before the completion of the construction, you need to discuss the change in advance. (You cannot start the construction of the changed part until after the discussion on the change.)
