Yamate Town Development Charter

1 First

Yamate is a residential and educational district where the townscape and the natural environment are harmonized by foreigners living in the dawn of modern Japan. In addition, it is an impressive town that is blessed with the view of the port and Yokohama and is visited by many people. We have established the "Yamate Town Development Charter" here in order to further promote attractive town development utilizing this excellent environment and historical heritage and remains.

2 Targets for Town Development

We will do the following to promote the development of attractive towns like Yamate.
(1) Protects and nurtures the natural environment that forms the green town "Yamate".
(2) We will protect the cultural heritage of history and pass it on to future generations.
(3) We will create a "town" where both residents and visitors can enjoy walking together.
(4) We will maintain an excellent townscape suitable for Yamate, mainly in residential areas, and a clean and safe "town".
(5) We deepen mutual contact and solidarity consciousness of each other and push forward town development by partnership with administration.

3 In order to achieve our goals

In order to achieve these goals, the people involved in the region must work together and play their respective roles.
(1) Roles of people who live create a good environment, and a good environment fosters people. To that end, each and every inhabitant is aware of the environment.
  You need to be interested. Based on the cooperation and agreement of local residents, we aim to create a livable Yamate town.
(2) Role of people working in this region, as a member of the local community, through its business activities, deepen relationships of trust with local residents and attract them.
  We strive to create an environment in the Yamate area with the aim of creating a powerful Yamate town.
(3) Role of learners People who learn in this area learn a lot from the historical environment of Yamate and learn to the local community through various cultural and local activities.
  We will strive to contribute.
(4) Role of visitors Visitors Visitors to this area understand that the Yamate area is basically a residential and educational district, and follow the traffic rules.
  We will cooperate with the beautification of Yamate and strive to preserve the environment.
(5) Roles of governments, etc. Wards and cities respect this charter in accordance with partnerships with residents, and play a leading role in town development.
