Kanazawa Bunko Station area

Current status of district

In the eastern area of the station, cultivated land is arranged before the war, forming a shopping street in front of the station. As consumer needs have changed and large-scale stores have entered the surrounding area one after another, the vigor of the past has been lost, and the lack of sufficient traffic plazas has reduced the traffic function in front of the station.
In the west area of the station, the construction of low-side stores and apartment is progressing rapidly along the railway line in line with the widening of the Mukagame Kamariya Line.

Policy for district maintenance

In order to promote redevelopment around the station suitable for the base of Kanazawa Ward, Motoichi is promoting town development according to the following policy.

  1. On the east side of the station, we will work to enhance the transportation infrastructure and consider town planning to revitalize the area and improve disaster prevention.
  2. About individual architectural plan, we guide safe and comfortable town planning including securing of pedestrian space by prior consultation.
