Situation of District

Last Updated May 27, 2024

Current situation and direction of town development

In the vicinity of East Exit Tsunashima Station, we are promoting the development of new Tsunashima Station, a new station on the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line.

Many roads do not have sufficient sidewalks in this area, and there are traffic issues such as chronic traffic congestion on surrounding roads such as the Tsunashima Kaido. In addition, the area around the new station was not fully utilized.
The new station will open in March 2023, and first, the land readjustment project and the urban redevelopment project will be integrated around the new station, and the maintenance of urban infrastructure such as roads and land suitable for the land adjacent to the new station We are promoting use. Next, we plan to implement an urban redevelopment project at Tsunashima Station East Exit Station. We will promote community development in both areas and enhance the functions of the entire East Exit of Tsunashima Station.
