Wheat Making experience class (end of recruitment)

Under the guidance of farmers, you will experience wheat cultivation and processing.

Wheat field
Wheat field at the harvest season (June)

Experience wheat cultivation from wheat sowing to wheat stepping, cutting and threshing.
In the 5th session, udon is beaten with flour ground flour made by ourselves.
The wheat variety is "Ayahikari", which is characterized by a chewy texture when udon.


Whole wheat flour udon (dried noodles)

After the 5th udon making class, you will take home 5 bags of dried noodle udon (200g) made using wheat grown by yourself and 400g of flour for handmade udon.

This is a total of 5 times.
1st seed sowing: From 13:30 on Saturday, November 11, 2023
2nd wheat stepping: From 13:30 on Saturday, February 3, 2024
3rd wheat harvesting: Starting at 9:30 on Saturday, June 1, 2024
4th Threshing: From 13:30 on Sunday, June 2, 2024
The 5th Udon Making: Starting at 9:30 on Sunday, July 21, 2024

Capacity

Up to 5 groups living in the city (single person, group, family participation is also possible).

  • In the case of a large number of entries, a lottery will be conducted, and the results will be notified only by e-mail by Thursday, November 2nd.
  • Please make settings so that you can receive emails from the Miyakooka Megumi no Sato Management Council "tuoka9333@gmail.com" (for transmission only).
Participation fee

7,000 yen per set (5 times in total)
Comes with 5 bags of udon noodles and 400g of wheat flour for home use

Belongings
  • 1st to 4th sessions

Clothes, hats, boots, work gloves, towels, drinks, etc.

Aprons, bandana, triangle widths, towels, drinks, masks, etc.

1st to 4th sessions
Fields in Shimokawai-cho, Asahi-ku
Take the Kannanaka Bus or Sotetsu Bus from the north exit of Sotetsu Mitsukyo Station and get off at "Hogaya Country Club".
The 5th session
Shimokawaicho, Asahi-ku
Take the Sotetsu bus from the north exit of Sotetsu Mitsukyo Station or the north exit of Futamatagawa Station and get off at Asahi High School Entrance.
