(Tentative name) Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Park

Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility is the site of the U.S. military facility returned in June 2015, and has an area of about 242ha and is a vast land that is valuable in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Yokohama City announced the "Old Kami-Seya Communication Facility Land Use Basic Plan" in March 2020, and is considering land use while listening to the opinions and requests of landowners and citizens. We plan maintenance of new park as part of town development.
Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility is working to hold the International Horticultural Exposition, so we are considering the former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Park (tentative name) as a park that inherits Legacy.

Area: Approx. 650,000㎡

Based on the public opinion solicitation conducted in 2020, we formulated a basic plan (original draft) in May 2021, and have been examining specific park facilities. In addition, we added examination based on progress such as land readjustment project and venue plan of international horticulture exposition to be carried out in this district and devised park basic plan (draft).

Based on opinion that we had by citizen opinion offer, we added examination based on progress of related business and devised basic plan (original draft).

Opinions were solicited from Thursday, December 17, 2020 to Friday, January 15, 2021.

On April 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2023, a briefing session was held for environmental impact assessment.

(Tentative name) In the northern district of the former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Park, we will conduct a sounding survey (dialogue) with private businesses to introduce private energies.

(Tentative name) The northern district of the former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Park is designated as a "area that actively promotes public-private partnerships and coexists with nature while creating bustle." At the same time, from August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022, we solicited public opinions for the pre-evaluation record (draft).
