Animals are displayed by climatic zone, and scenes of each habitat is expressed with plants and rocks.
We are also developing Japan's first full-fledged Preservation and Research Center and green recycling plants.

Undeveloped area
The park will be developed as a park where you can get acquainted with flowers and greenery while making use of the large flower beds in Satoyama Garden and Tando flower fields in Tando, as well as the rich natural scenery of the current state of conservation.

We will proceed with the maintenance of the Yokohama Animal Forest Park undeveloped area, including the Satoyama Garden, which is the result of the National Urban Greening Yokohama Fair, while utilizing the current natural scenery.
(1)In the Satoyama Garden area, we will inherit the scenery of the large flower beds and the flower fields of Tando, which are colored with Yokohama flowers, and will be used and maintained as a "flower and green zone".
In addition, the "zone to enjoy the forest" will be the public-private partnership promotion area, and maintenance will be implemented in advance.

(2)In other areas, we will preserve the rich nature of satoyama typical of Yokohama, and maintain the minimum necessary maintenance such as promenades.

(3)As an approach to traffic measures around the area, we will promote the maintenance of parking lots and the extension of the central road to Miho Kaido.
