About Mitsuzawa Park Stadium
The ballpark in Mitsuzawa Park (Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium) has many professional and amateur soccer and rugby games, and has been popular with many citizens so far.
On the other hand, 59 years have passed since the construction and aging has progressed, barrier-free has been insufficient, and there is no roof in the audience seats, and the stadium standards set by the J-League are not met. For this reason, Yokohama City is examining the redevelopment of parks, including the ballpark.

On June 1, 2022, the Standing Committee of the Yokohama City Council 2nd Regular Meeting on June 1, 2022, regarding the status of discussions so far, including the roofing of the Mitsuzawa Park Stadium, and the “Basic Concept for Redevelopment of Mitsuzawa Park (draft)”.
