The ballpark (Nipatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium) in Mitsuzawa Park has many soccer and rugby games by professionals and amateurs, and has been popular with many citizens so far.
On the other hand, 59 years have passed since the construction has progressed, and barrier-free facilities have not met the stadium standards set by the J-League, such as lack of roofs in the audience seats. For this reason, Yokohama City is considering the redevelopment of parks including the main ballpark.

On June 1, 2022, the 2nd Regular Meeting of Yokohama City Council reported on the status of the study so far, including the roofing of the Mitsuzawa Park Stadium, and the future basic concept (draft) for redevelopment of Mitsuzawa Park.

On August 9, 2022, a press release was made on raising public opinions for "Basic way of thinking (draft) for redevelopment of parks including Mitsuzawa Park Stadium".

Based on opinion that we had in citizen opinion offer, we gathered as "Mitsuzawa Park redevelopment basics design (plan)".

On February 10, 2023, the Standing Committee of the 1st Regular Meeting of Yokohama City Council reported on the current status of discussions.

We conducted a sounding-type market survey (dialogue) for the redevelopment of Mitsuzawa Park and solicited ideas.
