Is it possible to use sewage treatment water and river water as fire extinguishing water in the event of a disaster?
Last Updated August 31, 2018
Sewage treatment water and river water are valuable water sources in cities, and Yokohama City considers it to be used as fire-fighting water. In an emergency, water can be supplied from the ponds of 11 water reclamation centers in the city to fire trucks. In addition, we have already installed seawalls on stairs and water intake locations have been set up so that river water can be taken for fire extinguishing purposes.
