"Summer Vacation Children's Environmental Science Class 2023" was held.

The Institute of Environmental Science held the Summer Vacation Children's Environmental Science Class 2023 for 4th to 6th graders. In workshops on microplastics and colors, and workshops on the theme of dissections, we had various experiences related to the environment through experiments and observations.

• Location: Yokohama Institute of Environmental Science (5th floor, Shibusawa ABC Building No. 1, Ebisu-cho, Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama-shi)
• Number of participants: 77 children (69 parents, etc.)

For each program, we will introduce experimental notes and the state of the day.

I searched for microplastics in the sand and created a recycling work "Shaka Shaka" using the found microplastics I found.

・I was surprised to see a lot of plastic in it.
・I didn't know that there was a lot of shatters in microplastics.

In the morning, we conducted an experiment to separate the color of the water-based pen with paper and water. In the afternoon, we grinding plants and observed substances that fluorescent substances were observed.

・It was fun to know chemistry. I would like to participate again.
・I learned more about the color pens.

I had fun learning about the body of fish by dissecting the blurs.

・I'm glad I could do it because I don't have a chance to talk about it.
・It was difficult, but it was fun to support me.

・It was very fun to make a windmill.
・Let's make a puss! It was fun.

・The quiz was fun.
・I was surprised that the quiz rally was hit.

・I was excited to see a lot of analytical instruments that I couldn't usually see.
・I am very happy to have an event that parents and children can learn and enjoy like this time.
