What is the Special Committee on Water Quality Improvement of the Nine Prefectures Environmental Issues Committee?
In the Nine Prefectural City Environmental Issues Task Force, Saitama Prefecture, Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kawasaki City, Chiba City, Saitama City and Sagamihara City, which are located in the Tokyo metropolitan area, are working to create a comfortable local environment and to contribute to the global environment of the conservation.
The Water Quality Improvement Subcommittee investigates and examines the development of sewers related to water quality improvement in Tokyo Bay and measures to eutrophication.

Activities
（１） Measures for eutrophication
Through a simultaneous survey on the environment in Tokyo Bay, we are fostering interest in the revitalization of Tokyo Bay and studying measures for eutrophication based on the results of the survey. In addition, we exchange information on initiatives related to water quality improvement in each prefecture city.

（２） Measures to improve the quality of Tokyo Bay
Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City and Kawasaki City are conducting surveys on the quality of Tokyo Bay in a unified manner. The results are described on our website, and we are working to verify the effects of measures to improve bottom quality and utilize them for efforts to revitalize Tokyo Bay.

（３） Awareness of the conservation Water Environment
We share a collection of materials that are data such as photographs and illustrations used in dissemination and enlightenment activities in each prefecture city. In addition, we have created dissemination and enlightenment materials for the purpose of "let people know the current situation of Tokyo Bay and how to make it cleaner".
