Asbestos (asbestos)-containing spraying materials in Yokohama City Public Buildings
Last Updated September 19, 2024
Regarding measures for asbestos-containing spraying materials in public buildings, we conducted a fact-finding survey in 2005, and for facilities where the use of asbestos-containing spraying materials was found, basically removal and containment by 2009・ Necessary measures such as enclosure have been completed. (Including facilities whose use other than the three main types was found by the additional survey in FY2007 (Note 1))
For facilities that were identified as "facilities in enclosed state" (Note 2) and "facilities that do not require immediate measures" (Note 3) in the fact-finding survey, in principle, measure the suspended amount every year for the time being. , Proper maintenance will be performed, and measures will be taken at the time of facility renovation.
In addition, after the fact-finding survey in 2005, similar measures have been implemented for facilities where asbestos was found due to renovation work.
The latest floating measurement results at these facilities can be found at the Name of the facility link.

- Note 1: In some facilities that were analyzed in the 2005 fact-finding survey, it was found that only three of the six types of asbestos were analyzed using a method targeting only three main types, so reanalysis was conducted in FY2007. Was conducted.
3 main types…Clocidolite, amosite, chrysotile
3 types added…Tremolite, Ak Chino Light, Ann Sofilite - Note 2: "Facilities that are enclosed" means that the place of use is sealed in the ceiling and the spraying material is relatively harmful (the content is approximately 5% or less, one amosite 2%). This facility is a facility that performs appropriate maintenance, such as measuring the amount of floating every year in principle, and implements measures at the time of facility renovation.
- Note 3: "Facilities that do not require immediate measures" are mechanical rooms where citizens do not enter, where the asbestos content contained in the spraying material is as low as 1% or less, chrysotile with relatively low harm. For the time being, we will carry out appropriate maintenance and management measures, such as measuring the suspended amount every year, due to the fact that the spray material is solidified rather than cotton, etc., and at the time of facility renovation.
For inquiries, please contact each facility jurisdiction or office.
We publish the suspended amount measurement result after 2016 on homepage of each jurisdiction ward bureau.
