20th Anniversary of Chuo-toshokan

Last update date December 25, 2023

Municipal Central Library, which opened on February 22, 1994, celebrated its 20th anniversary in February 2014.
At the same time as the opening of the Chuo-toshokan, all libraries in each ward can be accessed via a network, search for materials from the entire City Library building. Since then, we have developed a variety of services, such as accepting reservations via the Internet and extending loans.
Through lectures and exhibitions, we looked back on the 20 years since the opening of Chuo-toshokan, which changed the history of Yokohama City Library.

In addition to holding lectures and panel displays, we created wallpapers and book covers (paperback size) by arranging image data such as Ukiyo-e and postcards owned by Municipal Central Library, which are published in the digital archive Yokohama's Memory.
