Panel Exhibition "The Day when the Library in Yokohama became One"

Municipal Central Library was partially opened on February 22, 1994. Following the full opening of the Chuo-toshokan in April, the library information system was completed, and the entire City Library building was connected via a network. This allows users to search for books in the entire City Library building, as if they were a single library, to borrow books at any City Library and return them to any City Library.
Due to the rapid changes in society represented by the spread of personal computers and the Internet, library services have undergone significant changes over the past 20 years since its opening. This exhibition introduces the changes in library services before and after the opening of the Municipal Central Library.
