1 Materials to know what a genealogy is.

A genealogy is a table that describes the ancestral strains. When studying the lineage of a historical person, the genealogy is useful as a "relationship diagram". By examining the relationship between marriages and adoptive children, you can check alliances between clans, and check parent-child relationships and generational relationships from the year of birth.

It explains a wide range of genealogy, surnames, family crests, historical materials, encyclopedias, and flora books for examining the history of Japan. In particular, genealogy and materials related to family genealogy are widely collected from books and magazine articles published before 1979.

It contains an explanation of the genealogy materials from ancient times and a commentary on the names of major historical figures that can be read from them. From ancient times to the end of the Tokugawa period and the Meiji Restoration, it contains 401 surnames of royal families, royal families, and samurai who moved Japan's history. This is a reproduction of "Nippon Genealogy Soran" published by Kaikakusha in 1936. The 1318 surnames known in Japanese history are selected, and their origins and historical changes are summarized. At the beginning of the book, "surname, last name, and name small history" explains the terms related to surname and name.

2 Handbook of Japanese History

The genealogy survey is one of the people's surveys. If it is a historical person, it is important to know the system of the time when the person was alive. In addition, a list of successive positions and government positions that the person has assigned will help you understand the performance of that person. Here, we introduce a handbook of Japanese history that is useful for genealogy surveys.

3 Major Genealogy

Here, we introduce a collection of typical genealogy compiled in Japan. One of the motivations for the compilation of the genealogy is that the rulers of time prove the legitimacy of their regimes. My family led to the royal family and other noble species, and I wrote a genealogy to show that my father and grandfather's lineage was the family's main family.

1 Insights (Insights) North-South Dynasty-Muromachi period

This is a private collection of private genealogy completed by Kinsada Toin, a public family of the North and South Dynasties, and is a fundamental material for genealogy research. This book is a collection of a wealth of genealogy from various people and arranges it independently, and also records personal traces with small books and notes. It is thought that it was established around 1400, but it is reported that it was revised afterwards.

Compilation of 2 genealogy around 1860

This is the culmination of the genealogy of the Imperial Family, Public Family, Samurai, and Shakuya compiled at the end of the Edo period. It is said to have been completed by Tadahiko Iida in 1857. In the genealogy of the public family, not only the genealogy of the Lord, but also the children are posted. The index also has a surname index, a name index, a title index, and a list of death years.

This is a summary of the 18 genealogy of the "group document obedience" genealogy and 397 genealogy of the group. In addition to about 400 genealogy such as the Emperor, the Imperial Family, and the samurai, it also contains genealogy of local royal families that started after the Middle Ages. It contains a genealogy based on "Compilation of Various Family Trees", and also includes genealogy from various families.

4 The genealogy of samurai during the Edo period

Kansei Shigeshu Mororo Family Records 1812

It was compiled by the Edo Shogunate as a follow-up of "Kanei era family genealogy" (outside site) (established in 1643). In particular, articles after the establishment of the Edo Shogunate are said to be accurate. It is necessary to note that the descriptions of the Tokugawa family, the three family, and the three Lords are omitted.

It contains more than 880 people who are more than daimyo and below the daimyo who were cut off in about 200 years from Keicho to the cultural year.

1835.

It is the genealogy of the shogunate of less than 10,000 stones. It deals with the period from Ieyasu Tokugawa to Iemitsu Tokugawa. Masa Atsushi Hotta, who was involved in the compilation of the "Kansei Shigeshu Mororo Family Record", was dissatisfied with the insufficient transmission of houses less than 10,000 stones in Rokutaka, and started this project. It is characterized by clarifying the source. A total of 235 volumes.

Since Kansei Records, the flagship encyclopedia

It is a document that deals with the Shogunate from Kansei Shigeshu Moro family record to 1868. Using the "Edo Shogunate Flag Personal Name Encyclopedia" (outside site) as the bottom, "Moromukai Geographical Survey Record" (outside site), "Edo Makutomi People's Encyclopedia" (outside site), "Yanagiei Assistant" (outside site) Description is also written.

Daibukan

"Takekan" is a yearbook-style staff record published by the private sector during the Edo period. It describes the outline of the samurai, such as the name, genealogy, stone height, and salary of the daimyo and flagship of the Edo period. "Daibukan" is a compilation of various published "Takekan" in the Showa era. In addition, Volume 1 also contains each Takekan before the Edo period.

5 The genealogy of the public family compiled in the Edo period, "Moroie Chiden", and "Underground Family Legend"

"Moro family biography" and "Moro family knowledge book" are the genealogy of the Dogami family from ancient times to the end of the Tokugawa period (houses that were allowed to go ascending) in order of family status. The "Moroie Chifuki" owned by Motoichi is a revised supplement that combines "Setsukeden" with the one published in 1966. There is a separate index for the underground courtroom from ancient times to Kaei 5 (1852), which is not allowed to rise, below the fourth place) in order of birth for each house.
The "Guardian Family Tree Book" is based on "Senshin context", "Sign Lord", "Seiden", "International Family Legend", "Seiden", "Moroya Knowledge Book", "Group Archives", "Genealogy Compilation", etc. It also contains genealogy of lower-class nobles other than the Dojo family.

6 After the Meiji era

A genealogy centered on the former Chinese people from the late Edo period has been published.
