Overview of intercity (inter-local government) cooperation
Until now, when a person using the system moves in or out, it is usually necessary to return the delivery documents (such as an oath receipt) to the local government of the transfer source (before moving), and to make an oath again at the local government to whichrequired documents was transferred.
With the start of inter-city (before moving) cooperation, only procedures for the local government to which the agreement has been concluded will be performed in the future, and procedures for the local government of the transfer source (before moving) will not be required. In addition, it is now possible to omit the submission of documents (such as certificate of partial family register) confirming that you are single to the local government you are moving to.
(In addition, if you are transferred to Yokohama City from a local government where Yokohama City has concluded a cooperation agreement, we will issue an oath receipt of Yokohama City again.)
